Overlord actually implies death

Rarely have time at night, so I went to VeryCD to pick a movie to watch. When I saw "Legend of Sword and Wind", I suddenly thought that a certain novel of this series was saved on the computer, but I had never read it before, so I decided to watch this movie.

It's a movie, but it's actually an anime. Many older people think that anime has no connotation and is only for children. In fact, this is a kind of prejudice. I think whether it is a movie, an anime, or a novel, comic, etc., it is a way of expressing a story, and the core accepted by the audience is the story. The story of "Legend of the Sword and the Wind" seems to be a bit old-fashioned in the 2013 era. There are so many stories with the theme of the overlord and the beautiful brothers, so that you can guess the routine after reading the beginning. But this is last year's work. The story of what kind of routine was popular when "Legend of Sword and Wind" was released last year has long been forgotten, so there is no need for the judges to be too stubborn on this point.

Aside from the story itself, the animation effects of "Legend of Sword and Wind" have really worked hard. At present, there are not many successful precedents for trying to incorporate 3D effects into animation works. And "Legend of Sword Wind" is definitely a success. The connection between 2D picture and 3DCG is relatively soft, and there is almost no abrupt feeling. I have seen a 3D small theatrical version of "One Piece" before. Compared with "Sword Wind", there is indeed some gap.

Finally, let's talk about Overlord. I watched the first Overlord's Egg, which actually implied that a certain character in the story had similar huge ambitions. However, there is usually a beautiful woman who accompanies the overlord, and this beauty will definitely have an impact on the overlord's path. But it is almost certain that neither of the overlords seem to have a good end. The egg of the overlord in the story represents evil in terms of shape, and it is still blood red, which probably indicates a bloody storm. But why has Overlord and Fallen become one in people's minds? This is a delicate question, one that can be thought deeply if you wish, and even the countries and institutions that can be held accountable. But it doesn't matter, smart people will not be overlords, at least they will not be recognized as overlords.

Because I watched the follow-up TV first—I thought that TV would be the TV re-editing of the series theater, but it was not, it was the true follow-up—so I think it’s okay to use 3D in this restart theater. In fact, I think 3D is used in some The background instead of the characters in the background, and the long shot instead of the medium close-up, feels completely OK. The plot is too rushed. In fact, I feel that it should be better to package Theater 1 and Theater 2 into one; however, in terms of plot transformation, especially the change of perspective of the challenging plot of the encounter between Gazi and Bai Yingnan (from Gazi's Perspective cut in), I think it has been completely changed.

A bit unaccustomed to watching old movies in 3D

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King quotes

  • Griffith: Why do men like to shed blood, you asked. You are right in saying that it is one of the facets we, men, possess. However, it is but a tool to obtain what our heart desires and keep it from harm's way. I believe it to be a double-edged blade.

Charlotte: What your heart desires... a lover? A knight's honor?

Griffith: Both are important, aren't they? Fighting and dying for love and honor is what a knight desires above all else. But for men there exists something even more important than that. You know of it, I believe.

    Charlotte: More important?

Griffith: It is a dream formulated and fostered for your own sake. Men are entranced by their dreams regardless of birth, rank or social standing. The dream supports them. It makes them suffer and it breathes new life into them. And it kills them. Even after they've given up on it, it continues to smolder in their hearts. All men have a dream at least once in their lives. They imagine themselves being martyrs to the God their dream has become. Others live on powerlessly, birthed into the world. I could not endure such a life.
