Once upon a time, there was a boy who flew.

There are a lot of jokes in the middle, but I can't treat him as a comedy. Seeing that the main actor wrote and acted, I admired it even more. At his age, writing this film must be a communication about his own dreams and his own ideas. (Born in 1990, one year older than me, what a shame to see what I'm doing now...) When did our dreams get killed by ourselves? When do we, like the people next to us, start to think it's ridiculous to fulfill our dreams?
At the beginning of the film, we have already told everyone that he died, and when we saw the middle, we knew that his dream could not be fulfilled, and he was struck to death by a bolt of lightning. Traditional American inspirational comedies usually end with the protagonist accomplishing amazing results. However, in this film, there is no such clichéd twist. He did not go to Northwestern University, he did not become a New Yorker, he did not Won the Nobel Peace Prize, and no one knows whether his literary magazine was read after his death. Does it matter? How many people pay attention to the result. Many people will say that the dream is the best use. He has pursued it for a long time, but he has not failed. The pursuit of the dream itself is meaningless. I think this film is telling us that it doesn't matter what the result is, what matters is the process of pursuing a dream.
A person without dreams is worthless. No matter what the result is, no matter what others think of you, the important thing is that you can fight for your dreams. Even the protagonist didn't understand this until the end, and put his article in a literary magazine. At least, he greeted him with a smile before the lightning struck.
