"Monster" love movie with various interpretations

I have never seen a film that deals with love and romance in this way, British director Gareth Edwards finally opened my eyes. What's more, this is his maiden work, and the degree of appreciation will naturally increase again.

It's nothing more than the shell of a doomsday sci-fi film, plus a little suspense factor, and of course, there is also a monster "still holding a pipa and covering his face" to point the question. Why is such an outdated genre film attractive?

The true love story lays the groundwork early, from the first encounter, encounter, flirtation, misunderstanding, to support in times of crisis, to the climax of the last scene, a kiss. The director effortlessly played all the familiar scenes of the monster disaster suspense thriller, and the various metaphors of the monster were also ready to come out. You can understand it as the hegemonic erosion of American culture on the traditions of other countries, and you can also realize from it that the fast-developing technology cannot change the most real emotions in the end. Even such monsters have romantic moments of falling in love.

A good movie not only gives the only answer, but the interpretation of openness and diversity is the top-grade masterpiece that won my heart.

  • Andrew Kaulder: Let me ask you something... do you know how much money your father's company pays for a picture of a child killed by a creature? $50,000. Do you know how much money I get paid for a picture of a happy child? Nothing. Do you know where that puts me? Photographing tragedy.
