"Blood Simple" Ties Murders Together in a Clever Way

This film is the most famous film by the Coen brothers. It is a film that let the whole United States know that there were the Coen brothers. The film uses a very clever way to link the murders together, and it is quite familiar with Hitchcock's films. The only difference is that the author does not have a policeman in this film. The audience is shouting and calling the police in their hearts, but the result is that they do not follow the audience's thoughts. If this film can cause a serial killing incident, If all the protagonists appearing in the film are killed one by one reasonably and logically, I think this film will be more watchable. Brother Coen, besides Luc Besson, you are also a director whom I admire.

Blood Simple quotes

  • Abby: I said, "Marty, how come you're anal, and *I* gotta go to the psychiatrist?"

    Ray: What'd he say?

Abby: Nothing. He's like you, he doesn't say much.

    Ray: Thanks.

Abby: Except when he doesn't say things, they're usually nasty. When you don't, they're usually nice.

  • [grabbing Abby from behind after breaking into Ray's house]

Marty: Lover boy really oughta lock his door. Lotta nuts out there.
