Not fascinating, but profound

A black man who was eventually mistaken for a racist. In the end, he changed his fate and died tragically.
I feel that this story is a very shocking reflection of the American concept of race. In the 1940s in the United States, a black man with white skin told others that his parents were dead in order to survive and get married. Since then, he has lived as a white man all his life. In the end, because of this white identity, people mistakenly believe that he is racist.
We can argue that he made a choice to succumb to the pressures of survival by covering up his black identity and even telling others that his parents were dead. But in the end, he paid the price for his lies, and in any case, he was a victim of racism.
