"Barbara" is about an East German woman under the Berlin Wall. The choice of love, in a severe political environment, everything seems so precious, or friendship, or family, or love. There are many German films about the Berlin Wall, whether they focus on political criticism or describe the living environment of ordinary people, their common feature is to return to human nature, making the human nature that has suffered from repression more gorgeous and beautiful; Politics aside, perhaps for women, only love is worth the constant struggle, not just because of freedom.
