The first movie that gave me sleepless nights - "Elite Force" (serious spoilers)

First of all, it is different from the 10-year sequel. The "Elite Force" I watched was the film of the 2008 Golden Bear Award, the slums of Rio de Janeiro.
The 10-year film was a political conspiracy film involving the protagonist after he worked in a government department. This kind of propaganda film, which is based on interests and clearly divided cleanliness and corruption, has almost no emotion at all.

When I watch it, I don't feel that it has much depth. The senses are dominated by audio-visual, and the brain can't move. As soon as I lay in bed, I am BLAHBLAH~

This is a story of violence against violence in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. It involves the police, BOPE (controlling the situation that ordinary police can't control ~ similar to the special forces, the Flying Tigers, etc., the narration of the movie is the current captain of BOPE), the poor, the rich, the drug lord and so on. The main line of the film is that the protagonist is about to become a father, and he is required to be transferred from the elite troops with a high risk factor. Violence of every kind is interspersed without exception. This kind of powerful film has always lacked the beauty of balance. It can only make up for the innate sense of coordination by capturing the lens with the usual anxious eyes. I can't say anything about shooting skills alone, so I can only talk about the meaning behind the plot~

The contradictions in the play are obviously very strong. If you think about it, it seems that BOPE and all groups of people are opposites. They despise the corruption and weakness of the police, hate the unjust common sense of the wealthy children of "killing all the police with a single stick", treat the poor unjustly (only when performing their tasks), and severely crack down on drug lords. The BOPE itself is a small elite group with absolute integrity and solidarity in theory. It starts with their selection. Of the 100 police officers participating in the selection, at most 5 people may join the team, and of course the entire army may be wiped out. The first round is to eliminate corrupt and weak people, and the second round is to select the elite. As soon as they came up, the instructors used violent confrontation (one-way beating, spitting, etc.) to suppress you, supplemented by the tone of finding out your old bottom. This is a test of your ability to resist pressure. When teaching the theoretical knowledge that it is easy to fall asleep, he will give the grenade with the pull ring removed to the students who are just sleeping, and also let everyone clean up the disgusting food dumped on the ground within 10 seconds, including the nausea. vomit, this is a test of team spirit. There are far more shots in the first round than in the second, and I know why. This is training that happened in just two weeks, 14 days, 336 hours, and you might be thinking, what's wrong with that? However, just like the sentence I saw before, "Why do you like war? Because you have not experienced war." The same reason. Although the selection is cruel, once you enter BOPE, your actual combat strength will increase rapidly, and your sense of honor and responsibility will also increase proportionally. The sense of honor of the team and the sense of responsibility to others (this is why you have to go through hell training, because your life It is also the life of the team members. You are not alone. In the movie, it seems that this way of expressing team spirit is more profound and specific than direct shouting or action). So how real was the panic when the drug lord who shot Netu saw the BOPE tattoo on his arm~ After sending people to the hospital, they began to flee like death.

Why does fear threaten the lives of BOPE people more than drug trafficking? So why sell drugs? Why go the route of having to run into them? forced by the environment. Children who grow up in slums are symbols of drugs and violence. It seemed that there was no way to survive but to live by crime. This leads to the rich class in the play. They live in the center of the city, have south-facing rooms, have excellent higher education, go to fancy restaurants and bars, and help slum children as rich people. In their eyes, the police are just rotten people who searched their bodies for no reason, are dirty and greedy, and have lax law enforcement. They can't smell a trace of justice. When the rich die, they hold protest marches, but when the police die, there is nothing.

One idea after another, small actions that are deviated in order to maintain justice, unfair treatment by taking advantage of corruption, sympathy in the execution of tasks, unavoidable mental problems, loyalty among the gangsters (although the fire is finally set off) self-immolation) blah blah blah. I'm afraid I won't be able to finish writing this review.

Spanish sounds annoying. . . It seems a bit loose, but in combination with the second part, it can be called a masterpiece. "There will be no parade when the police are dead, and there will be parades when the rich are dead."
