The sad truth is that in every truly devoted relationship, everyone is irreplaceable, but not unique - I think that's what the director wants to tell us. This sentence is a bit of a mouthful. Another way of saying it is that love is eternal, but there will never be eternal love between two people; this sentence can be further explained as love is eternal because we need it, Just like we need to dress, eat, and walk, but the clothes we wear, the meals we eat, and the paths we take can be completely different. To put it bluntly, in the emotional life of human beings, there is always a need for an object to be talked about and needed. This object once made us think that it is the only one, but it turned out not to be. We think we will fall in love with only one person, the truth is that in our short lifetime we will fall in love with many people, either very different or with the same qualities. In one relationship they are the only one, in another they are nothing. This conclusion is drawn because, if you watch the movie for a while, you will know that Angelina is just a younger Marguerite, and their experiences are the same, just a reincarnation.
