Looking at this, I actually think of "Search" ~ they are all directors who have won Cannes, the gap is really big. Perhaps it can be said that there are two different themes, a social issue and a love issue. But why are foreign films not unfamiliar? Instead, your own movies look foreign? Perhaps, the problem lies in the director's mind. To me, the domestic life like "Search" is like a myth, without the slightest sense of acquaintance. Can be filmed by the director full of intimacy. Like he knew I knew he was lying to me and he was still lying to me! Very round! That's it!
Ceylon is a good director! He observes life with his own eyes.
