It seems that the person watching the movie is God, watching it lightly, letting reality happen and developing, and then drowning in the torrent of time; as if the protagonist does not need a director and does not care about God, they perform hard in their own way. So, in front of time, those sorrows become insignificant, in front of God those protagonists become insignificant little people, in the face of reality, indifference becomes a rational confrontation.
I especially recommend "The Furnace" and "Memories of Murder" as the most typical representatives. In fact, there may not be an answer to everything, and life may not be so beautiful, but we still live seriously.
