Not profound, simple and pure

Literature, or other genres with narrative, such as movies, animation must be quite thoughtful, and it must be thought-provoking. For this, two say. I personally appreciate thought-provoking works. These works make people have a perceptual understanding and understanding of many abstract issues by concretizing problems and thought processes and entering people's hearts. But at the same time, I also like the other kind of work very much, there is nothing profound, and there is no need to think about it, but it is very pure and moving. Like poetry, like Grimm's fairy tales.
The Sound of the Tide is a work of purely descriptive nature without any discussion purpose. The style of the whole film is not delicate and pretentious. There is no deliberate sadness and "little freshness" that those youth novels often have. The narrative is made up of small fragments in series, and in several fragments, the images of the characters are vividly portrayed. And the three protagonists are full of figures and very real. (This reminds me that the characters in the 16-year-old flower season shot in Shanghai that year are also extremely real, and they are unique in similar works. The subsequent similar works have a strong masquerade and preaching flavor, which is extremely annoying.) Heroism and vanity, the secret shyness of the young man and the feeling of being a friend all seduce the audience and return to the situation of the middle school era. The effect of rewinding time and reproducing memories is itself the greatest artistic charm of the work.
Jibli's works, especially Gong Lao's works, always deliberately discuss themes such as man and nature, war and peace. Personally, I don't like works that give clear answers like this and have a didactic sense. Also, due to my own personality, I don't like grand themes and tend to connect pieces together. So of all the Jeepry works, my favorites are Autumn Call and The Sound of the Tide. The Autumn Call is also a work that reflects thinking about life, but it does not give answers but shares feelings and thoughts. It happens that the ideas conveyed by the director are in line with my value orientation, so I love it.
In addition to being an excellent work in itself, Hai Chao's work, the film soundtrack is also a supernatural turn that can reach the S level.
