From horror to spoof comedy

The theme is full of creativity, but unfortunately it failed to effectively create a terrifying atmosphere like the first two. The film basically gave up the famous pseudo-documentary shooting method before. In the family wedding clip within 20 minutes of the opening, you can still see the roughness of the picture and the realism of the scene brought by hand-held photography, but when the male protagonist turns the camera All the scenes after the kick were turned into high-definition photography.

Furthermore, the scene of the story was also transferred from the previous confined space to the big apartment villa, and the sense of fear suddenly dropped a lot. Moreover, the style of the film has gradually shifted from a horror thriller to a near-runaway spoof comedy, in which the director's proud love story has turned into a silly and cliché story. It's undeniable that the spoof parts are well done: chainsaws, armor shirts, Bible reading, hearing aids, fat women, and more. I suspect that the director was aiming for pranks from the beginning, not only for zombie films, but also for romance films, and even the two pseudo-documentary thrillers he made before.

The simmering style will disappoint diehard horror fans. Now we can only hope that there will be a surprise in the last part of this series!

Almost abandoned the pseudo-documentary model that became famous, and turned a bit in the direction of B-level films. It turned a little twitchy. . .

Romantic comedy. Fans of death video or pseudo-documentary films still don’t watch it. Except for the first zombies and the second religion, the director will not let it play after taking the camera for a while; the image of the chainsaw bride can no longer be praised.

[REC] 3: Genesis quotes

  • Clara: Hoy es mi día.

  • Adrián: And what exactly are you dressed up as?

    John Esponja: As Sponge John.

Adrián: That would be Sponge Bob?

John Esponja: No. Well, you see, there was a copyright problem, and now the costume is called Sponge John. We are talking about a character that's got nothing to do with the one you're talking about. I don't want any trouble later on.
