Furthermore, the scene of the story was also transferred from the previous confined space to the big apartment villa, and the sense of fear suddenly dropped a lot. Moreover, the style of the film has gradually shifted from a horror thriller to a near-runaway spoof comedy, in which the director's proud love story has turned into a silly and cliché story. It's undeniable that the spoof parts are well done: chainsaws, armor shirts, Bible reading, hearing aids, fat women, and more. I suspect that the director was aiming for pranks from the beginning, not only for zombie films, but also for romance films, and even the two pseudo-documentary thrillers he made before.
The simmering style will disappoint diehard horror fans. Now we can only hope that there will be a surprise in the last part of this series!
