"My Journey"

For movies, I have always held a tolerant attitude, especially Chinese movies. Bad films like "Warring States" can be made, so what other bad films can't be made? Then, when you watch "The Female General of the Yang Family" again, you will feel a lot more tolerant in your heart. My tolerant attitude also comes from this. Ang Lee said at the Golden Horse Awards: Chinese people should support Chinese films. Like Chinese films, the persistent and persistent development in the direction of "no worst, only worse" is developing at a rapid pace. How can we support it? Of course, to be honest, Chinese movies are not useless. Recently, there have been good movies like "The Great Gold Robbery".
Compared with the situation of countless bad films like Chinese films, Korean films can be better. Sometimes, I really admire Koreans, who can make A loves B, B loves C, C loves A and so vulgar mode of love film, story after story, endlessly, and the film produced is not let It's really not easy to feel relaxed and happy, but it's heartbreaking! If you don't take into account the incidence of accidents and incurable diseases that are beyond the scope of human acceptance and medical care in South Korea's small fresh movies, South Korean small fresh movies are still pretty good.
I am used to watching Korean romance films, and I am really curious when I suddenly found such a Korean-made war film. That's why I watch My Journey, and it's the only reason that needs to be emphasized. Many Chinese viewers may watch "My Journey" because of Fan Bingbing, but not me. I don't like Fan Bingbing, who accepts both good and bad movies, not for acting but for being a familiar face, and who doesn't have his own outstanding representative works. After finally filming "Apple-fruit", it was also banned. People who don't have certain network knowledge and skills can't watch movies starring Fan Bingbing, and the treatment is similar to that of Teacher Cang in Japan. The Fan Bingbing I know is in "Han Zhu Gege".
After watching "My Journey", the only thing I can think of is how could it be so coincidental, why does the enemy attack as soon as you run away? Although there is a saying that "no coincidence makes a book", but too many coincidences are a bit unbelievable. Just like in the movie Jun-sik escaped with his friends in the Japanese army, only to be attacked by the Soviets, if this is a coincidence, it is acceptable. Later, the same situation occurred again. Junzhi and Tasu were just about to escape from the German army, and they encountered the Allied invasion of Normandy, which was another coincidence. Another time in the film, the Russian soldiers shot the rebels. They had already killed a batch of them. Just as they were about to kill Junzhi, the urgent documents from the Russian army came. How could there be such a coincidence! Even if there are, many are beyond our acceptable range! It wasn't until I finished the movie that I understood a little bit: it turned out that the probability of accidental or incurable diseases in Korean romance films was changed to coincidence.
The reason why a story has too many coincidences shows that the plot is far-fetched, that is, there are loopholes. I remember reading a book "The Kite Runner" that said: The plot loopholes are the flaws of the article. The same is true of movies. It is unconvincing and unconvincing to explain and promote all the stories in movies by coincidence.
Movies are actually telling stories, and a good movie is a lively, interesting and engaging story. Therefore, the storyline is very important. Just like the "Hero" shot by Zhang Yimou, who was a photographer, it has all the elements of the movie, and no plot will also attract a lot of criticism; Chen Kaige's "Promise" has a bloody plot and is also a bad movie.
Another problem with the film is that the theme is unclear. Maybe the director wants to say too much, like the Korean and Japanese race issues at the beginning; the cruelty of the war described later; the personal pursuit of Joon-sik's Olympic champion in the film; and the subsequent transformation of Zotye, The fragility of human nature; as well as the description of the friendship of Jun-value and Tasu in the future, and so on. The director wants to express too much, which makes the problem of too much but not fine. Although the movie talks a lot, there are very few things that really make the audience remember deeply, and nothing that touches the heartstrings of the audience. Looking back after watching the movie, I only remember that the actors were running away and fighting constantly, and the others were not impressed at all. What the director should do is to come up with a specific description of a theme, focus on rendering, and other accompanying performances, which will increase the influence of the film.
Based on the above, plot loopholes and weak theme expression, "My Journey" is not a good movie.
Of course, movies aren't useless. The actors' acting skills and the use of various stunt shots in the film are still remarkable, especially the elaboration and description of the war scenes, which are very visually impactful and perform well. Based on this alone, many domestic films are far behind.
