It's not a movie review, it's an essay

For the past, is it forgetting to escape it, or degenerate to cover it?
This is a somewhat dark story, and the sensitive topics involved can be seen from the plot introduction. Shooting, especially the beginning part, made me feel a little bit of a stream of consciousness.

Neil is the soul of the whole movie. Coach said, you're an angel; Eric said, he's like a god; Wendy said, he's like a black hole. Different descriptions, but all are Neil.
The same thing happened to him in his childhood, Neil was the coach's favorite, Brian was obviously not. Neil has since opened up his awareness of SEX, and Brian has forgotten and tampered with this painful memory.
As adults, they have completely opposite lives. Brian scours all the alien trails to fill in the empty memories, and Neil's life seems to be called indulgence.
The life trajectories of the two people finally coincide once, so everything becomes clear.
The dazed youth, the dazed youth, is heartbreaking and depressing.

Neil is an angel, an angel of indulgence, a fallen angel. He used to have the purest eyes, looking at the candy rising into the air, he also struggled and lost, and found that there were traces of disease on his body.
Thanks to Joseph Gordon for making this Neil come alive.

You can't just treat him as a gay, pedophile movie, too many charming labels can easily make people ignore the essence of the movie. It can give us more inspiration. It was a direct shock to the soul, depressing, but real. It was about youth, about the pain of growing up.
At the end of the movie, I saw the most beautiful picture.

It is said that the Japanese-American director Gregg Araki, who is said to be bisexual, is keen on independent production and self-appreciation of music. The film is based on the 1996 novel of the same name by American author Scott Heim. The soundtrack is American atmosphere master Harold Budd.
