That line comes from the movie "Feelings of the Past", an old movie that made four big girls intoxicated, and it should be a mark of their youth. One of my hobbies is to find the books and movies mentioned in the books and movies I read and experience their experiences, so I also found this "Feelings of the Past". But Barbra Streisand ends up saying this to Robert Redford in a very different context, where the girl in the sentence should be their daughter.
I didn't really understand why Karrie said this line. Is it because I liked it so much that I was happy when I said goodbye to my lover? I didn't expect that today I'm writing and I'm thinking about it a bit. The man returns to his normal life after setbacks, just as hubbell leaves katie after his father's death to reunite with the daughter of a parent friend who has been waiting for his childhood sweetheart.
