Although it is a French film, it has the feel of an American blockbuster. The visual effects are spectacular and shocking. But the plot wasn't that compelling. The male protagonist's character is a bit old-fashioned, exactly like the character image of the American blockbuster who plays personal heroism. The plot of the whole movie is quite compact, but you can't go into the details, otherwise you will find many loopholes, some of which are not explained clearly, and some are relatively fake. I don't know if it is caused by editing.
