love is big

In today's film industry, the only person who has won the true biography of Wong Kar Wai is probably Xavier Dolan. The 20-something lad from Quebec, Canada, made his Cannes debut with "I Killed My Mom". His style is characterized by his fondness for slow motion, the soundtrack is often full of charming and touching nostalgic songs, and the filming of the characters' dialogues is either from the back or the side of the characters, all of which have their own style.

Of course, all of the above is fully carried over into the second "Fantasy Love". Unlike the previous works that discussed the relationship between mother and child, this one discusses the issue of love. In the process of watching it, the shadow of French director Auzon appeared in my mind from time to time. I am not only talking about the catchy and dramatic Bang Bang. It can be seen that both of them are like-minded people, and both are lovers of "queer" themes. But the Canadian genius has more of a French New Wave flavor. Threesomes, sleeping in the same bed, bickering, and all these, keep reminding me that this is the 21st century "Zu and Zhan". Of course, Dolan's attitude towards love is more free, easy and thorough, as long as he likes it, there are no restrictions on men and women, and there is no cowardly attitude. And there are often unexpected and wonderful ideas appearing, which make people surprise again and again.

Francis: Yeah, I have a big bed. You can sleep here. We'll just... We'll just squeeze in.
