Representative works of Yoshiaki Kawajiri

I got to know the director Kawajiri Yoshiaki by chance. So I chose the best rated works and watched them all in chronological order. They are Monster City in 1987, Beast Warriors Ninja Post in 1993, There is also this 2000 Vampire Hunter D. Why do you feel that the taste of the three films is getting weaker and weaker? I
don't want to say more about the storyline. I always feel that I am not used to this style of painting, and I prefer the first two films.

What I watched is English dubbing version. It is said that Japanese dubbing and English dubbing are two completely different feelings, so I decided to take a look at the next original version. Students with obsessive-compulsive disorder and collection addiction may wish to pay attention.

PS: The final ending is unexpected.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust quotes

  • D: Stop right there, Meier. I'm taking her back, back to her family who loved her.

Meier Link: She knew I loved her best of all. You can't understand it. You've never loved a human.

D: I've never killed one, either.

  • [Japanese dub]

Meier Link: You should bear in mind, D, that your struggle to resist our nature can't last forever. One day, the urge for their blood will be stronger.

D: And when that day comes, another will hunt me. It's as simple as that.
