When I saw the introduction of the novel, I remembered that I had this movie on my computer, and I suddenly wanted to watch it. I wanted to know what happened to the boy who was locked in the cabinet. . . The story unfolded slowly. Although Sarah and her family were going through those inhumane treatment, I always hoped that the younger brother who was locked in the closet could escape, even I always felt That's how the story should be, because it's impossible to imagine the horrific ending on the contrary! And that's why, when Sarah rushed into the room, opened the cupboard with a shudder, and was stunned and screamed, that scene was so shocking to me, the director didn't shoot the scene in the cupboard, I thought, that was any No one can afford to witness it!
I like the side-by-side narrative of the movie, slowly unfolding, and then slamming the key fact that everyone expected but kept denying~~ But the ending of the movie suddenly felt weaker and did not face it directly. The theme of pain is completely outlined and lacks convincing~~
Overall, it is a good movie and worth watching!
