Penguins are helpless and persistent in the face of skuas

By chance, I saw the BBC documentary "Frozen Planet", which records the end of the world, the alternation of the four seasons in the South Pole and the North Pole, and the reproduction of various animals and plants. What impressed me the most was such a scene: There are no terrestrial animals in Antarctica. For little penguins, the biggest threat comes from the air, the Antarctic Skua. The Antarctic Skua flew into the penguin group, stopped beside the mother penguin, looked at the mother penguin, and then took away the little penguin. The mother penguin has no claws, and the bird's beak can only be used to hold stones and swallow fish, which is an attack on the skua. Nothing can be done. The little penguins were thrown into the flock of little skuas and were immediately divided.

For each individual of the penguin colony, they have no power to fight back against natural enemies. It can be seen from the documentary how much effort and hardship they have put in for their children. In early spring, male penguins build their nests on the frozen ground of Antarctica and endure snowstorms for several months; when summer comes, they breed their own children with female penguins, usually only two children. After the baby penguin is born, the female penguin will go to the ocean for food, facing the threat of killer whales and seals. The child who was raised with great effort and hardship was snatched away by a skua in front of him. He couldn't do anything but watch.

For individual penguins, they do not have the ability to choose their fate, and they rely on the size of the 5 million population to maintain the continuation of the population. But we have the opportunity and the ability to control our own destiny. But sometimes, greed for short-term satisfaction, and occupy the time and space to control their own destiny.

Will we seize our opportunity and live up to the wonderful gifts God has given us?
