Vampire Hunter D is a hybrid born of a vampire king and a human woman. He is an enemy of vampires, but he is not popular with humans. He is a lonely outlier.
He once rescued more than a dozen children in a village kidnapped by vampires many years ago. And one of them still recognized him, thanked him and helped him when he came to the Year of the Wind and Candle. But he remained expressionless. He is like a hero, although he is not understood, he is still doing things to save people.
Humans seem to have a natural reverence and love for heroes, especially lonely and sad heroes, no matter what makes him marginalized or incomprehensible, such as the exclusion of some seemingly unreasonable people or rules, but as long as he uses force to save them. Being extraordinary is always easy to resonate with some people, because it touches the soft part of people's hearts. And if you add the hero's little feelings, such as remembering the promise of sending flowers to old friends for decades, it will be even more impressive.
The highlight of the film is at the end, where he promises his old friend Layla, who once fought together, that if she dies without a funeral, he will give her a bouquet of flowers. At the end, D, who will never grow old and never die, goes to give flowers to the dead Leila, and he is very comforted to find that Leila has children and grandchildren, and that there are a large group of people offering flowers to her.
The plot of the film is twists and turns, the style of painting is romantic and beautiful, and the scenes are cool and cool. In the process of watching, people always feel that there are doubts and want to clarify, there are several ingenious settings, such as the use of illusions (some misunderstandings are deliberately created to achieve a certain purpose), and the aforementioned uncle help D The scene where D goes to deliver flowers after Leila's death. I saw that in some places, I was even worried about the characters in the movie, for fear of another accident, especially when Layla saw the spaceship that sent the couple separated by Yin and Yang to the moon and kept praying for a smooth arrival. She felt that time passed so slowly, and unconsciously made people feel the same strong feelings as hers. I believe that a movie that can pull the audience's nerves is a good movie.
