According to my understanding, the earth was finally abolished, not because of the weapons fired by the Nazis from the moon (the only shot that was fired should only hit the surface of the moon and penetrated a corner of the moon). The real origin of those explosions, according to my speculation about the film, should be that other countries fought each other due to the competition for H3 resources.
So, World War III started, even in the absence of the Nazis.
