The Millennium Actress from a Buddhist Perspective

Ericka 2022-03-24 09:03:06

The girl fell, the girl ran, and the girl wandered in endless pursuit. Finally, gratifyingly, she came to the brink of confusion. This probably has nothing to do with love, it's just a heart that "want to pursue something".
——Okay, let me have a little art.
Speaking of which, logically speaking, to understand this photo, it should require a little knowledge of Buddhism. Of course, it may be because it is more convenient for me to interpret it with knowledge of Buddhism. I think in reverse. Knowledge of Buddhism is required.
Let’s interpret it in the form of a few questions.
First: the images of Chiyoko in different periods in the movie, are they real or fake?
The answer is: both true and false, it is true, and it is false.
The reasons are as follows:
1. The title of the film is called Millennium. Then, on this basis, we can regard Chiyoko's past images as a reincarnation of the past thousand years. Of course, this is a guess, and it may just cater to the millennium. .
Two: The reason for the lie is that there are several places in the film that clearly say that this is a certain film. I have cried N times for this film. The audience here will definitely think that this is a film.
Three: To be honest, the reason is that what the false audience can't explain is the image of the old man using the spinning machine that appeared in the filming process [the scene of the middle-aged Chiyoko, she saw the image of the old man in the act].
Insert the discussion of the old man here:
No doubt, although I have no direct evidence, according to my intuition [including reading and viewing many works in the past], the old man is a specific embodiment similar to causal reincarnation, Because the spinning machine does have some literary works in our East Asian culture, which is used as such a manifestation.
So good, that is to say, the old man is [reincarnation], the fate that Chiyoko cannot get rid of. From here, you can clearly see the color of Buddhism.
Okay, let's insert a little knowledge next, what exactly is reincarnation and why is there reincarnation?
It is very troublesome to answer. In the Sutra of Enlightenment, it says [Seeing the Signs of Reincarnation with the Mind of Reincarnation], what is the mind of reincarnation, my understanding is [ignorance], ignorance always wants to be enlightened, and wants to climb up.
What is climbing? Quite simply, want to chase something.
Speaking of it, what is called [karma], it is very simple, the explanation is [because of climbing].
In the Buddhist worldview, it is precisely because we are unwilling to accept ourselves that we are always clinging to each other, that there is a sign of reincarnation.
Such an explanation should be more or less the same.

Well, the next thing is to discuss, why I say it is true and false.
First of all, I quote a passage:

"Summer Puxian you should know: All sentient beings
have no beginning, illusion and ignorance. They all come from the Tathagata
. The illusion is born from the illusion , the illusion is complete, and the awakened mind does not move. If those bodhisattvas and sentient beings in the last age should always stay away from illusion, all illusions are all gone. Just like fire in a wood, the fire will be extinguished when the wood is exhausted . No gradual, convenient." This passage... [Nanwu Oriental Medicine Buddha, I, I try not to talk nonsense, I, I want to report a sunny mentality...] What is my understanding of this sentence? No Does it exist? In the Enlightenment Sutra, it is said that ignorance is like if you rub your eyes for too long, empty flowers will appear in your eyes, that is, there will be some things that are not there at all, but you think there are. The person who thinks there is me], the problem lies in the thought, why? Because everyone knows that Buddhism speaks of emptiness, just imagine that in the empty sky, you rubbed your eyes a lot, and you have hallucinations, and there is no comparison, so don’t you think there is? Well, that's probably the explanation. Insert another paragraph:

In Buddhism, there is no concept of time. It is believed that all things have a beginning, which is the typical concept of the real existence of the law. What is the real existence of the law? It is the belief that everything in the world is real.
I believe that everyone understands that Buddhism, after all, speaks of emptiness. Where can there be real things in the world?
Therefore, since there is no concept of time, we think that there are all things in the world, and we are constantly clinging to [you can think that all things are changed and climbed out by climbing, only the mind changes, only the consciousness manifests], and, all things are It is empty after all, what about ourselves? Of course it is empty, so the Buddha Dharma says there is no self.
Having said so much, let me give an example at the end. Do you think the characters in a TV series or movie are real or unreal? Are their stories real or fictional?
The answer is very simple, you must think it is fake, right?
Then, since I am empty, and everything in the world is empty, aren't we in it like actors?
However, if you say it's fake, it's not right, because if you say it's fake, there must be something real to compare it with, right?
Since everything is emptiness, then what you experience is also conjured from emptiness. How can there be something that is not true if it is real?
To sum up the discussion, I think, I can draw a conclusion:
From the perspective of the film's plot, Chiyoko's film story is true [really happened in her previous life of reincarnation, from the point of view of Fare, and there is in Seeing ghosts as evidence when acting], but at the same time it is fake, because everything is just a scene played by Chiyoko [this scene is not only the scene in the movie, but also her whole life [including herself before the reincarnation]. play】.
Everything is just a scene that Chiyoko can't accept, keeps chasing, and enjoys the process of chasing.

Whether it is true or false, it depends on how you choose. Not all standards are involved here, it is only based on personal preference.

Second: what does the image of a man represent.
Well, based on my discussion on the first point, I believe you can quickly come to the conclusion that it is ignorance, that is, our clinging heart. . Well, it feels a little lacking, forget it...

Third: the meaning of lotus.
This is very simple, everyone knows that Buddhism is mostly lotus, and it is obviously related to Buddhism, so I won't talk about it more. "Innocent and pure" is not like what Lao Tzu said "can be a baby".

Fourth: what the mother-in-law said.
[Love you so much, hate you
so much] Frankly speaking, I don't understand this passage, and I don't know who can combine the knowledge of Buddhism to tell me about the image of my mother-in-law, although I said it before. , represents cause and effect, and reincarnation. In fact, it is still somewhat lacking. Here, the mother-in-law seems to have a little evil connotation. In this regard, it is really not good at learning skills, and I can't see the deep meaning...

Fifth: the film the beginning and end of .
As I said in the first point, this drama is both true and false, every paragraph that seems to be a movie clip can be regarded as a real life, then, there is no doubt, according to my opinion, Going to the universe should be another reincarnation after Chiyoko's death. There are two reasons:
1. The beginning and the end of the film echo each other, but if you look closely, you can see that the person who tells Chiyoko not to leave is different every time. Yes, the first time is a trick, and the second time is the president, so from this point of view, we can make an assumption that the second time is the next reincarnation. Chiyoko embarked on another cycle.

Two: The last sentence of Chiyoko is obviously a summary of the entire film.

Sixth: The sadness and moving parts of the film.
As I pointed out, Chiyoko’s reincarnation time and time again is nothing more than a phantom [this is recognized by everyone. As for why it is a phantom, I believe that through the previous description, it should be able to be understood, so I won’t say more] , I think, the sadness of this film is not that Chiyoko is chasing, whether it is a phantom, or whether Chiyoko can chase it, but that
Chiyoko chooses reincarnation voluntarily every time by her own will. of.

As the so-called self-inflicted self-inflicted, since the world has changed according to the ideal, then everything you encounter must be what you want and need. Maybe you feel this kind of need is ridiculous, helpless, and sad, but life is a binary opposition. Yes, if you want to be happy, you have to learn to be sad. If you want to be calm and indifferent, you have to see reckless anger. This is the truth of the world we live in. What we should do... Maybe let go of our prejudices. Enjoy this life experience.
I think this is the real moving part of the film, because we chose reincarnation ourselves, so of course we can choose not to, even if we reincarnate, we can choose to experience this wonderful life journey, experience These pains, joys, helplessness, happiness, playing different roles...
This is what the title [Millennium Actress] wants to convey.

Seventh: the image of the president.
This is the last question. What image does the president represent? Obviously, it is similar to the image of Bodhisattva and Buddha.
We can see that every time there is a danger, the president will help himself, and he never asks for anything in return. This... What kind of spirit is this? This is clearly the spirit of Lei Feng. The spirit of the Earth Store Bodhisattva...
Speaking of which, the Buddha bosses never had to force people to practice cultivation, they just said silently, hoping that one day everyone would be able to turn back to the shore, just like in the last segment of the film, even if they saw that Chiyoko was going to leave Well, the president still said, don't go.
It's that simple, everything depends on you, not on others.

This article is over.

Finally, let's shout, Oorika is so cute and awesome!

Finally, let's mourn the director of the Bodhisattva level, Director Jin Min.
Nanwu Oriental Medicine Buddha.

Note 1:
[Love and Hate Questions] about my mother-in-law
Talk about how deep the hate is and how deep the love is. I think this should be similar to a story that Buddha said in the scriptures. I can't remember the original text clearly. It is probably that a certain big businessman encountered a woman in white. This woman gave people a very kind and pure spirit. feel. The merchant then left the woman behind. Not long after, another evil woman in black came looking for a businessman. She said that if you took in my sister, you had to take in me. We are together. Then the businessman asked the woman in white if she was. The woman said yes. It is indeed my sister. . We are compatriots, we have always been together, we have one and the other.

After reviewing it on December 22, 2012, I added:
After reviewing it again
, this time, the whole film is clear and clear. The man, mother-in-law, and the president turned out to be the existence of the Trinity.
The mother-in-law's love-hate problem, in fact, her mother-in-law is a Bodhisattva, showing a vicious appearance, precisely because she loves her, so she needs to experience this, so that she can understand what she is pursuing and what she is clinging to.
This is good, at least, Chiyoko is not sad.
On March 14, 2013, I watched Spider Nest City. Generally speaking, my mother-in-law's problem has been solved. That sentence "You have reached the edge of confusion, which is gratifying." 】It is the perfect symbol of fate represented by the mother-in-law.

After reading Jin Min's exclusive interview, let's add one more point.
Let me revisit it when I have time.

[2013.11.4]
Uh, I finished reading Jin Min's interview a long time ago, and it's time to really end this article. In Jin Min's interview, there is an interesting sentence, [What really matters is not what you pursue , but the heart of constant pursuit], this is very good, at least I didn't deviate too much, hehe.
In addition, the interview also mentioned the nonlinear concept of time, hehe, this is similar to what I said, not bad.
All in all, this is the end of this article, thank you all.

【2015.4.17】
Inadvertently clicked in.
Recently, I saw a saying
, "Everything arises from causes and conditions, and all causes and conditions perish."
That's probably what it means.
