little emotion

The film tells the story of several white-collar workers in the United States, who were fired by the company without any mental preparation during the financial crisis, and then could not find a job, as well as the state before finding a job, etc. One of them finally committed suicide.
When they and our parents lost their jobs due to reforms, or when they couldn't afford to eat from the big pot, some of them had a similar mentality. Compared with these people who have lost their jobs under forced or unanticipated circumstances, and whether they are highly educated and capable, or just relying on physical strength to support their families, those of us still have jobs, or we can choose our own lives. Those who are in this state are actually lucky.
It’s just that too many people don’t realize that
I’m not against complaining. Occasional complaints can relieve stress, but I hate long-term complaining. Instead of complaining for a long time, it’s better to change the current state. If there is inertia, don’t change it. Then don't complain.
And don't always make excuses for your inaction because you don't have time.

Starring Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Costner, etc., the film showing the unemployment situation of American companies in the context of the financial crisis has some practical significance. It also reminds me of some experience of looking for a job many years ago, hehe~~

My blood boils only when Ben says I will win, cause I have faith, courage and enthusiasm.

The Company Men quotes

  • Jack: How go the suit wars, Bobby?

    Bobby Walker: All right, Jack.

Jack: Move any more high-paying American jobs offshore to Asian shitholes this week?

Bobby Walker: Mostly focused on union busting now; you know how it is.

  • Bobby Walker: [on phone] Hi, Sally. Bob Walker. Uh, thanks for not returning any of my phone calls. If you do return my call, I would love to know why you fired me without any notice, you fucking, cowardly bitch.

Danny: Gee, I wonder why she never calls you back.

Bobby Walker: Feels good though. God.
