A profoundly idealistic film.

It took me over two hours to watch the movie. The feelings in my heart also change slowly as the plot of the movie progresses.
Just like the first movie, this time I didn't know the plot of the movie before watching the second movie, so I watched it from scratch. As a result, I was very disappointed in the first hour of the movie.
In the first hour, the plot of the movie is highly similar to the first one. It's a group of students transported to an undisclosed location where the rules of the game are read out by their teacher and the killing begins. It's just that this time the characters are different, the location is different, and the students react differently when they hear the news at first. While watching, I thought, wouldn't they make a sequel like this? This is just child's play. .
Sure enough, with the advancement of time, the story began to have a different direction from the first one. If Battle Royale 1 reveals human nature’s desire for survival and teenagers’ resistance to adulthood, then Battle Royale 2 can be seen as a war victory for teenagers against adulthood and a cry for world peace.
Battle Royale 2 is a continuation of Battle Royale 1. The main line of the story is that the second group of people were forced to kill Qiyuan Qiyuan and Nakagawa Noriko who survived the first killing game. Here, my understanding is the adult's dissatisfaction with the boy's resistance and the terrifying determination to exterminate the dissatisfied boy. Zooming in a little, we can regard the army with a large number of people and more high-end weapons as the powerhouse in the world, and the group of selected students who were forced to kill Qiyuan and the group of surviving Qiyuan. People are seen as vulnerable groups. What the movie actually tells is that the strong have been trying to punish those who disobey the rule through bloodshed and violence, and to eliminate the rebels and the weak through killing.
At the beginning of the film, the chosen group of students, for survival purposes, have to target Nanami to complete their mission to keep themselves alive. However, as they attacked Qiyuan's stronghold, Qiyuan's remarks and Qiyuan's mercy towards the injured, they began to realize that if they wanted to survive, it was not Qiyuan who should be killed, but Qiyuan's The so-called adults who forced them to kill.
The reason why I say that Battle Royale 2 is more positive than Battle Royale 1 is mainly based on the following reasons: The film illustrates two problems by interspersing pictures of the living conditions of children in some backward, war-torn countries. First, war and hegemony have brought great negative effects on children in these countries, including physical injury and physical starvation; second, through these images to resonate with the audience, to jointly condemn the use of power at hand to aggression Certain powers and interest groups of vulnerable groups.
In the middle and back parts of the film, it mainly describes the resistance of the group of teenagers, mainly Qiyuan, to the killers. In fact, it is the resistance of disadvantaged groups who are dissatisfied with acting as puppets of power. My initial assumption was that the Qiyuan group could kill a lot of people, but in the end they would definitely not be able to defeat those soldiers. But to my surprise, the director's final arrangement was that Nanahara and the others were the final winners. This is also where I personally think the film is a bit surreal. Because in life, there are very few opportunities to turn things around even when the ammunition and food are exhausted and Aihong is one. However, I think since the director wrote it like this, there may be the following considerations:
1. I hope the tone of the film is not too sad. After all, seeing the end of the film with 2 hours of depression is actually a tragic ending, and it is probably not the usual commercial film. style. Everyone loves the sense of victory that comes out of nowhere.
2. Give the disadvantaged groups a spiritual strength. Let the people in those countries who are being bullied see that they have what it takes to save the country and keep trying to live. It also encouraged those who were depressed in their daily life and told them not to bow their heads for the sake of authority. Although there will be pains in resisting authority, but for their own future and happiness, they must stick to their own path.
All in all, this movie is better than the last, not because of his fight scenes, but because of the philosophy of life he reveals!
The last thing I have to say is that the smiles of the children in the war-torn countries in the film are really pure. God made them born in a country full of suffering, but they satirized God with their strongest and innocent smiles. This reminds me of that sentence: when the heavens will give great responsibilities to the people of this country, they must first work hard on their hearts and minds!
It's good to live alone and have a belief to support, even if it's just a simple smile!

The first half is entirely for learning from the first, and the second half is too much.
