"Amazing Grace" Review

It deduces the process of a congressman opposing the slave trade and liberating black slaves during the British colonial period. This movie is a good interpretation of his life, his work, his beliefs, his position.
The protagonist's failures in parliament again and again, and his body is dragged down again and again, this process affects the hearts of the audience. Especially as a man of faith, because the protagonist's work stems from his position, his position stems from his life, and his life stems from his beliefs.
The protagonist also wants to return to the essence of his belief directly after a failure, and directly do church work instead of political work.

God's grace, soft and silent, firm belief, unyielding. Extremely delicate and even perfect, ideal for love, friendship and foundation.

watching and waiting. If anyone really believes that the world is real. I think he is William Wilberforce. The theory of political science always tells me if it's not realistic enough. Then the problems of this world cannot find a real solution. idealism. Nabo. This is the real left. He is better than anyone. Makes me feel a little different. in some sense. William was rescued by his own wife. This gives him rebirth.

Amazing Grace quotes

  • Marianne Thornton: The Romans believed this water would restore the dead to life.

Barbara Spooner: [looking at it, unimpressed] Most pump water I've investigated works in the opposite direction.

  • William Wilberforce: It's God. I have 10,000 engagements of state today but I would prefer to spend the day out here getting a wet arse, studying dandelions and marveling at... bloody spider's webs.

Richard the Butler: You found God, sir?

William Wilberforce: I think He found me. You have any idea how inconvenient that is? How idiotic it will sound? I have a political career glittering ahead of me, and in my heart I want spider's webs.

Richard the Butler: [sitting down next to WW] "It is a sad fate for a man to die too well known to everybody else and still unknown to himself." Francis Bacon. I don't just dust your books, sir.
