Why commit suicide?

To write a recent paper on the impact of social factors on health, I chose suicide as my topic. Suicide has become the number one cause of death for young people. And I found that the suicide rate of the Kochi population is higher than the general population. According to Freud's theory, human beings have the ascension instinct and the death instinct. Studies have found that this phenomenon of self-mutilation exists not only in humans, but also in animals.
The protagonist in this movie is a famous psychotherapist with his own bestseller, but his wife dies by suicide. He used drugs and alcohol, confided and socialized with young people who sold marijuana. His father handed him a teenage patient, an adolescent girl, who suffered from her mother's suicide, self-harm and a series of behavioral problems at school. Behind the glamorous and beautiful portrayed in the film is a corrupt private life, drugs, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. . .
In Western religions, suicide has always been considered a sin. But I've never seen a movie that discusses this issue in depth. But at least this movie allowed me to see the harm that suicide brings to the people around me. The movie did not solve my confusion: why do people commit suicide. But at least tell us to let go of the past, the past has passed, and living is the greatest meaning. . .
Tragically, I still have to find someone Why did I commit suicide?

Jemma: No. But we're still here. That's something.

  • Henry Carter: It's grief. They want you to have some kind of normal response to grief, you know, so they don't have to watch. But it's *mine*.
