A group of young people with vigor and blood are conscripted into the army, and they will go to the front line in Afghanistan. The beginning of the film describes the scene of several protagonists parting with their families, and soon the camera moves to the recruit camp, where they will accept a violent instructor, Cruel spartan training, because the rookies will go to Afghanistan in a few months, the first half of the film is used to describe the scenes of their training, and all the seemingly hellish training and the battlefield they are about to face In comparison, it is simply heaven.
Soon they came to the battlefield filled with gunpowder smoke. The partners who were training together were assigned to different units, and several protagonists were assigned to one another. Soon they ushered in their first mission, going to a highland for garrison, and this was where they were. The last mission of the troops, the second half of the entire film, is used to describe the series of battles that took place during this garrison period. In the end, only one person of the entire garrison survived. The final picture of the film is that the survivor was sitting on a tank many years later, still staying on the front line to continue his military career, and his face no longer had the youth and sunshine of the past, leaving only numbness and vicissitudes.
To be honest, I don’t watch much Russian movies, and I know very little about them. I don’t know all the directors, screenwriters, and actors in their country. I don’t know who are the big names and who are the newbies. This film is one of the works I watched, a very tragic and wonderful story. If you like war movies, don't miss this movie.
