sci-fi ideal

The writer of this review has been struggling with what the title should be called. The ideal world view and the real world view are facing the impact.
The movie virus infection and source are very simple, and there is no conspiracy theory. The whole film is very simple to outline that the virus is coming, people are infected by the virus, and it is found that the virus changes people's minds and allows people to live in the ideal world of the people who were infected in the film.
Why is it stressing the ideal world of the people who are infected in the film? Actually, it is also the world that the director of this film did not express clearly. In reality, the ideal people think should be that kind of paradise, without disputes and exploitation. However, there is a scene in the movie, that is, when the two jumped from the high-rise building, no one stopped and no one was sentimental or a little pity. Indifferent, it is ironic that after being infected, Xiao Jin said "everyone is the same, your family is my family" The
real world is described in the movie is very cruel, the TV news and newspapers that appear in the movie talk about it It's all war, war. In the end, the downfall of the male protagonist is also his dissatisfaction and escape from the real world.
The whole film is a very contradictory entanglement. The described ideal world does not have a beautiful outline. It advocates indifference, just like a monk, without hate or love. The world is a family, and the family is the world. In the director's view, the desired peace is indifference. People's indifference can bring about an ideal world of peace.
In the end, the male protagonist's words also seem to reveal the core of the film. Disputes and wars prove that this is a human being.
A sci-fi horror film that is preachy but has no paradise.
It's just a superficial opinion, just say it casually, for everyone's pleasure.

I don't understand why I didn't go to the theater to watch this movie in 2007, but the plot is quite fascinating. Nicole is so beautiful, I can't help being attracted to her, and everything else is a cloud. A movie that feels very embarrassing. Although the plot is very catchy, it is too cliché and the details cannot stand scrutiny; it has greater ambitions than a pure horror sci-fi movie, but it does not go very far.

The Invasion quotes

  • Ben: Our world is a better world.

  • Yorish: I say that civilization is an illusion, a game of pretend. What is real is the fact that we are still animals, driven by primal instincts. As a psychiatrist, you must know this to be true.

Carol: To be honest, ambassador, when someone starts talking to me about the truth, what I hear is what they're telling me about themselves more than what they're saying about the world.

Dr. Henryk Belicec: Quite right, well done, doctor.

Yorish: Perhaps this is true, perhaps being a Russian in this country is a kind of pathology. So what do you think, can you help me? Can you give me a pill? To make me see the world the way you Americans see the world. Can a pill help me understand Iraq, or Dafur, or even New Orleans?

Dr. Henryk Belicec: Don't be drawn in by his madness, doctor. He is Russian, he needs to argue like he needs to breathe.

Yorish: All I am saying is that civilization crumbles whenever we need it most. In the right situation, we are all capable of the most terrible crimes. To imagine a world where this was not so, where every crisis did not result in new atrocities, where every newspaper is not full of war and violence. Well, this is to imagine a world where human beings cease to be human.

Carol: While I'll give you that we still retain some basic animal instincts, you have to admit we're not the same animal we were a few thousand years ago.

    Yorish: True.

Carol: Read Piaget, Kohlberg or Maslow, Graves, Wilber, and you'll see that we're still evolving. Our consciousness is changing. Five hundred years ago, postmodern feminists didn't exist yet one sits right beside you today. And while that fact may not undo all of the terrible things that have been done in this world, at least it gives me reason to believe that one day, things may be different.

    Yorish: Thank you, doctor.

    Carol: You're welcome, ambassador.

    Dr. Henryk Belicec: Excellent.
