bird man bird thing

This is not an indignant rant, just an amateur film review. My name is really "Bird Watching Year", and I don't like the translation of the Chinese name. Americans will always do something for themselves, and bird watching is one of them. "the big year" literally translates to "big year" in Chinese as the name suggests, but it always sounds blunt and lacks too much connotation. I have always been tired of English, so naturally I can't come up with a sincere name, but I am surprised when I look back. The Chinese people have already created the great words of "bird man" and "bird thing", so they carried forward the spirit of bringing it forward and named it "bird man and bird thing", although it may be interpreted in a derogatory sense.

"birding" or bird watching, this kind of thing means more than anything else, we don't need to get entangled in the grand proposition of life values, we just need to understand that it is actually rooted in everyone's little interests, and it may often be nothing. Humane, but all kinds of tastes are only in the heart. In a specific time and a specific geographical division, see as many species of birds as possible, take pictures or not, and report the data by yourself at the end of the year. This kind of competition is unsupervised, requires no evidence, requires no organization, and everything is voluntary. In the film, it is said that the integrity of the bird lovers is rooted in what they firmly believe comes from an ancient inner belief. If our Chinese translation is "everything is based on conscience". The key point is that the common interests of people in the same way frame everything. For example, we often see world records such as the largest jeans in the world, or the largest cake in the world, and so on. If you check carefully, maybe these things will not come from IT elite or financial talent, but most likely a jeans designer or maker. It's the so-called hobby, the little "hobby" the fat programmer told his father.

Closer to home, the film tells the story of three people who love bird watching, a fat programmer who is gifted but not rich, a CEO who struggles and retires and a career, and the defending champion who will do everything crazy for bird watching. bird thing. This film has no gimmicks, no emotions, no ups and downs, and no jokes. The discussion is about the intertwined relationship between ideals, life and feelings. In the end, the fat programmer ranked second, the first bird continued to defend the title, and the CEO old man Fourth, but in the end the programmer told the CEO, we've won, haven't we? And the final loneliness of the champion is quite tragic and solemn. This is not a seductive drama, but it makes people feel relaxed, comfortable and loving. This kind of movie viewing experience is not easy.

The first part of the film seems to be talking about whether you can give up work or life for your ideals, but in the back, when the goal of challenging "big year" to become three people becomes a choice of goals and interests, both the programmer and the CEO are victorious. In order to live comfortably and get out of the predicament in my heart, bird watching became a method similar to practice, and then returned to life. But of course they go back and find that life is different because they find love in the process, love of family, love of lovers and so on. And the champion who gave up love seems so lonely. This is not an inspirational film, but a life film. Not telling you how to choose between ideal and reality, but to discover the true interest in life, that is, "love" instead of "hobby", maybe you may find that they are not so difficult to reconcile, of course, this is a good wish .

Human ideals and emotions are inherently inseparable. In human life, there are always people who try to rationalize their relationship. In fact, the existence of human thinking is based on reason and emotion, and it is impossible to separate the two. This is why I don't think there is anything inspiring about this film. The beauty that is placed at the end of the programmer's report is similar to the kind of surprise that you are going to go fishing, but you are transferred to a turtle. At the same time, it also reminded me of a movie called "The King of California" that I watched before, telling a seemingly ridiculous story from a bland perspective. "King of California" is often recommended as a family love chapter. Of course, I'm tantamount to talking about the type of film here, but the deep meaning of Charlie's final choice motive, how can family love or emotion be summed up, it has transcended interpersonal relationships Therefore, it can be said of course that Charlie's last move is for his daughter, but what about after her? This is both for family affection and for self-fulfillment. The daughter is like Charlie's last breakaway. The oxygen cylinder is closely connected with life, but still needs to break free.

In ordinary life, a sense of crisis often strikes unconsciously. Even if the bird watching action in the film is an action that breaks the shackles of crisis, it seems to be a departure from the relaxed atmosphere of spiritual practice, but it can be regarded as the same destination. In the end, programmers and CEOs are considered successful, because they know that when they let go at the right time, the championship is another kind of success, but more decisive. This seems like a frustrating outcome, a give-and-take game that I don't think needs an outcome.

I wanted to watch this film at first because the heroine of "Divorce Never Break Up" appeared, but my BFF came first. I was really excited to hear the relevant soundtracks such as viva la vida, as well as the cute mobile phone ringtones; in the film, the scenery of the United States is fully displayed, and the various birds are also showing their beauty, which makes people want to become one of them and explore The beauty of heaven and earth. Having a dream is really a good thing, and being close to nature is even more beautiful. This film makes people eager to enjoy the flowers in spring, even if the scenery around them is too artificial.
