Healing needs no explanation

The film "the lucky one" has a simple plot and is mediocre, but has occasional highlights.

Logan participated in the overseas wars of the United States, witnessed the ruthlessness of the war and the fragility of life, and was saved from death in the explosion because of the small act of getting up and picking up photos. After the war, Logan returned to his sister's house in the United States, but his mood could not calm down for a long time, so he hoped to find the girl in the photo and personally thank her for saving his life, so as to find "inner peace". It's a pity that the war scene and inner struggle in the beginning part are too short, and the foreshadowing has not yet been laid, and the male pig's feet have already found the "excited girl". A mediocre romantic film was born, but the original "war trauma" part disappeared.

But after watching a movie, it is still necessary to put on a theme and summarize it in a serious way. I still prefer to use the word "healing". In addition to the fact that the male pig's feet quickly healed by picking up girls, the female pig's feet, the son of the female pig's feet, and the ex-husband of the female pig's feet were also "cured" successively. The son of the female pig's feet often practiced the violin alone, but he never dared to perform in public because he was afraid of being laughed at if he could not play well. Until Boys' Feet encouraged him and rehearsed with him the piano and violin duet, which gave him the courage to perform in church. And the "healing" of the ex-husband of the female pig's feet is also very miraculous. Most of the time, he is grinning and threatening the male and female pig's feet. In the end, he was swept away by the flood in order to save his son, and completed the "self-salvation" in a heroic way. Does the plot feel familiar?

Different from the fleeting beginning of the male pig's foot, the female pig's foot has several long inner scenes and dialogue scenes (such as recalling the two brothers and sisters learning to sail, throwing a vase to vent, etc.), to express the battle against the dead brother. Painful thoughts. She always had a knot in her heart: she thought that her brother was attacked and died by friendly troops, and only when the male pig foot told the truth: his brother died to cover his brother, not in vain, did he let go.

Another very important plot is that the photo of the female pig's foot that saved the life of the male pig's foot has the words "save life" written on the back, which is the amulet that the female pig's foot gave her brother. When the female pig's feet knew about this, she started to get angry at the male pig's feet: Why didn't the amulet I gave to my brother protect him? Could it be that my brother can only die once, and you are the "lucky one"? ! "

At this time, a very important line in the whole movie appeared: the grandmother standing by the side said in a philosopher's tone: I think he meant to find that photo. Everything comes out with its reasons.

We often need to explain, like The female pig's feet need the same explanation for "the younger brother is not sacrificed in vain". As long as I heard an explanation, all the previous entanglements were instantly resolved, and the goal of "healing" was achieved. Is "explaining" really that effective? Not also. Sometimes we just use the horns to create the illusion of "needing explanation" for ourselves, like building walls and doors for ourselves that can only be opened with a key. In other words, if the door was not built, the key would not exist.

The "reason" in my grandmother's mouth was not an "explanation". "Explanation" is constructed by people to understand confusion, but reason is an objectively existing chance, luck and arrangement. It cannot be explained because it is complex and subtle, interlocking but implicitly driving events forward. Therefore, my grandmother probably wanted to say that we don’t need a specific explanation, we just need to know that everything and everyone can slowly find their own position and reason on the track of time, so that we can let go of our hearts. Fetters, easier to face their own life.

At the end of the film, the female pig's feet let the male pig's feet stay, saying "here is somewhere you belong to ".

This reminds me of "it's our destiny, it's written." in "Slumdog Millionaire". This is not fatalism, Just treat life with a more religious attitude: each time node is always the cumulative result of the previous history, everything has its own attribution, and everyone always has their own attribution. None of this can be summed up in a specific "explanation". What we can do is to open our minds more, go with the flow, live in the moment, and life will gradually lead you to where you belong to.
