Paris in the sixties. Jean-Louis Joubert, a staid stockbroker and head of a "model" family, found a group of happy Spanish maids living on the sixth floor of his building. Maria, a young maid who works in his home, exposes him to a world full of enthusiasm and national character, the complete opposite of his restrained, red-tape environment. Moved by these women who love life, Jean-Louis for the first time allowed himself to experience ordinary little pleasures under the guidance of emotion. But can 45 years of life really change?
