Believe in love, be brave

I still don't know why it got such a name - it's the strange name that drew me to it - but I've been deeply moved.

Everyone has times when they are not brave, or more precisely, there are things they are afraid to touch. What little Oscar did not dare to touch was the last phone call, Mr. Black did not dare to touch the last letter sent to him by his father, and the old tenant did not dare to speak. If we keep escaping and not facing it, we may be able to get away with those fears, but we will definitely live in fear, and we will regret it for the rest of our lives. The old tenant kept guiding Oscar to do things he didn't dare to do, but after all, he couldn't face the last recorded phone call. In the end, little Oscar can only be helped by himself. If he doesn't say it, he will never be able to cross this hurdle and complete the adventure that Dad wants him to complete. Oscar, the young protagonist of the movie, has the persistence and calmness that is not commensurate with his age. He has completed a leap in growth through constant reflection on contradictions and self-motivation, which moved us. On the other hand, if we look at ourselves, is there always something we want to accomplish but fail to accomplish? Is there always someone who wants to forget but fails to forget? There are always many such hurdles, but there are too few people who can face and overcome like Oscar.

If bravery is one theme, the other should be love. Grandma had deep sadness in her eyes when it happened, but there were no tears, she just lay quietly on the floor with Oscar; Dad kept saying "are you there" on the sixth call because he wanted to encourage Son bravely answered the phone; grandpa just said "I'm going to bed" after hearing Oscar's story at first, but he accompanied his grandson on adventures to help him overcome one fear after another; and the mother was not as I imagined Holding Oscar so often and crying, she just silently understood his wishes, and quietly walked every path Oscar had walked or was about to walk. This kind of love is too deep. There are no vain hugs and tears. Some are strong to bear their own sorrows and quietly protect the people they want to protect. If it weren't for the movie, it might be difficult for us to discover such love. Quietly recalling, are we receiving such love without knowing it?

The opening scene is of a man entering the camera in slow motion. At first I didn't understand what it had to do with the movie, but then I learned that this was Oscar's memories and fantasies, and it was also the source of his fears. The concept of the film is not conventional, and there are many flashbacks interspersed in the middle, which tells the growth process of Oscar in a plain way. The final fate of the key is somewhat surprising, but if we let ourselves imagine what kind of lock the key should belong to, it seems that we can't come up with any nutritious results. Very artistic camera technique and framing angle, the music is a bit sad but nice. If you look carefully, there should be some resonance for anyone.
