Kai Ye's failed Hollywood work, both of which were not well received at the box office. The story or curiosity killed the cat. The story is very small, not profound, and not exciting. It is just the bizarre experience of a cheating woman, but Kai Ye has added his deep and weird personal philosophy to it. In contrast to other Chinese Director, Ang Lee is thinking about Chinese culture, and John Woo is insisting on the aesthetics of violence. But Kai Ye's philosophy is probably not even understood by the Yankees, so it's a tragedy.
