I just want to know that I feel strong.

A joint film project by the National Geographic Society and Youtube. Everyone in the world is invited to document what happened on July 24, 2010 (the first Saturday after the World Cup). In the end, clips were taken from more than 80,000 uploaded videos (4,500 hours in total) from 192 countries around the world and condensed into a one-and-a-half-hour documentary called Life in a Day. This film can be said to be the first big-screen film in history to be completed by a collective approach, reflecting the unique information and resource advantages of the Internet age. It is said that the original intention of the film is actually to present a gift to Youtube's fifth anniversary.
How to evaluate it? First of all, I think this idea is very interesting. This is definitely something worth doing, must do, and even insist on doing. No wonder the BBC is also preparing to follow suit and make a British in a Day. I think in the future, it can be like Luo Dayou's love song, once every ten years; or put it in a time capsule and wait for the future to open, which is much better than news clips.
The second is perception. With such a wealth of material and such a vast amount of information, I believe everyone can get a variety of insights into life. I think this is also the meaning of this film: because it is an ordinary day shot by ordinary people, it will resonate with ordinary people to the greatest extent possible. Some of my thoughts are: cherish life, treat others kindly, respect life, and plainness is a blessing.
The only thing the producers ask of the uploaders is for each person to answer three questions: What do you love? What are you afraid of? What's in your pocket? You might as well think about it.
Finally an eye-opener. What about giraffes giving birth, women kneeling for men, Korean strongmen who ride the world (with a high appearance rate), mothers who have kidney surgery, eating hairy eggs, slums, Kongming lanterns, etc. But this is the most secondary gain, because I found that even though everyone around the world has different genes, different families, different cultures, different personalities, different knowledge, and different hobbies, human nature is the same, and the pursuit is the same. Hope for a better life.

  • Man: I actually love my refrigerator. It's such a cool thing. It remains at one corner. It keeps its mouth shut. I love my refrigerator. Nothing else but my refrigerator!
