man with golden arm

Compared with most noir films, "The Man with the Golden Arm" is inferior, whether it is the use of light or the suspense of the plot. Sinatra's excellent acting may make up for it, and the good soundtrack also makes the whole story have the atmosphere of that era, but overall I still feel that something is missing, and the plot and scheduling are not good. I just watched Preminger's "Peachy Case" in the previous paragraph. It is much stronger and more attractive than this one, but the titles of the two are actually similar. Regarding the shooting method of drug addiction, I personally like "Trainspotting" and "Requiem for Dreams"

A 3.5 standard high-quality B-grade film, with stage scheduling under the control of long shots in a space that is almost pure interior, which strongly highlights the repressed and fearful atmosphere shrouded in the shadow of drug addiction. The drum beat soundtrack, as the expression of inner impact and the thrust of the main axis of the narrative, has an outstanding effect. The overall level is not as good as the "Lost Weekend" of the same theme.

The rhythm is a bit slow, but the poster design is very distinctive, reflecting the struggle and pain of the male protagonist when he is out of drugs.
