"Furious Tracking": A "Seven Deadly Sins"-style Police and Bandit Chase

/ Fujii Tree

Title: "Furious Tracking"
Director: Elliot Lester
Starring: Jason Statham, Paddy Constel En
score: 7

I think most people watching "Fast Track" must go to the action tough guy Jason Statham, because his "Fate Express" series is so famous that the Chinese translation of this part is also done. The beginning of "Death" is to strengthen the star effect of "Jason Statham" again. But if you think that "Fate Tracking" has anything to do with "Fate Express", then you will be fooled! In fact, "Furious" is more like "Seven Deadly Sins" in some ways, but Statham doesn't have much action scenes. On the contrary, I found his literary drama to be pretty good for the first time.

"Furious Tracking" has many twists and turns in the plot, and it tickles people's appetite from beginning to end. Jason Statham plays a grumpy cop who beats bad guys at every turn. He pursues the result of punishing evil and promoting good, regardless of the simplicity and rudeness of the process. One day, he met a serial killer who called himself "Lightning". This man was extremely arrogant. He killed 3 policemen in broad daylight, and after killing people, he would call reporters to reveal all the details of the crime.

I say that this movie is appetizing from beginning to end, not because of the ferocity of the criminals, but because the criminals are exposed to the audience from the very beginning. The two-line parallel narrative technique makes watching the movie endlessly fun. That is to say, on the one hand, you see the police being killed one after another, and the whole police station is in turmoil; on the other hand, you also know who the criminal is, how to kill it, and how to get away with it. What's worse is that Jason Statham was the first to find the criminal's house. The two confronted each other and recognized each other, but they did not develop further. Watch the criminal escape and implement the next murder plan.

Accidents emerged one after another, and Statham finally caught the criminal through relentless pursuit. I thought this chase game was over, but I didn't expect that there was no evidence, so the prisoner could only be released. Seeing this, it reminds me of the Korean movie "The Chaser" - it constantly breaks through the audience's inertial thinking and creates a twist and turns movie-watching mood, which is really a leader in genre films. In "Fate", the climax comes after the criminal is released. Jason Statham and his immediate boss--another gay police officer with a violent past, an elite of a very different class than Jason--they ended up tit-for-tat to give a nice ending. The ending is quite shocking, it's addicting!

Maybe some viewers will feel disappointed, because Jason Statham didn't show his skills. Except for beating the gangster at the beginning and running hard in the middle, he has no action scenes in the whole film. But I think this film will still be watched with relish, to see how the screenwriter justifies himself and how to deal with this arrogant serial killer.

However, in the final analysis this is just a good type of movie to watch. There are still many flaws in the movie itself, such as the control of the rhythm, and the middle paragraph is slightly protracted; the interaction between the two policemen is not rich enough, which means that there could have been more sparks between Jason and his gay boss, but now they are not. The handling was relatively sloppy; plus the ambiguity between the black policewoman and the handsome curly-haired man was not described, which was a bit of a pity.

Of course, Jason's performance is still remarkable. The British actor Paddy Considine, who plays his immediate boss, is even more in place, explaining the richness of the character's inner layers quite well (the responsibility for the lack of interaction between the two lies with the screenwriter). So overall, "Fast Tracking" is still a police and gangster movie worth recommending. The beginning is very exciting, the process is very tortuous, and the ending is unexpected. After reading it, I feel happy and worth the ticket price!
