The lineup of this film is very gorgeous. If you don't like the plot, go watch Cass. BC ran a trick, how to look like Sherlock Holmes put on makeup to solve the case, chased to the military camp and pretended to be an officer. Watching him keep wanting to laugh, he is miscast. Tom Hiddleston is actually a trickster, and he has a sense of time travel, but he is so beautiful, those green eyes look at him, and immediately let you throw all the sense of disobedience to the sky, in fact, all judgments are thrown away Cloud Nine is out. Lupin teacher David Thewlis is a bad squire this time, but I still like him a lot (not too bad actually).
The protagonist is the unknown young actor Jeremy Irvine. His appearance and acting skills are not the kind of newcomers who are dazzling, but they are good enough and perform well. There are many other actors who are familiar. I know that I have seen their plays, and my memory is getting blurry, and I can't call those works. When I came back and checked, it turned out that they were all powerful old actors or rising stars.
And those horses, of course, are beautiful. The portrayal of horses in this film is between reality and fantasy, and the performance of spirituality is just right. Horses are also the main thread of the narrative. Once the horse changes hands, the previous owner fades out, and the story advances all the way to the depths of the trenches, which is a classic and comfortable narrative technique.
Although the film is long, it is suitable for children to watch, which is rare. Warm but not original, cruel but not bloody.
Score: 8/10
