This damn healing system

When British soldier Colin went to the no-man's land between the opposing sides, he recited the following passages from the Bible Psalms:
"The Lord is my Shepherd
" I shall not lack
"He made me lie down in green pastures
" I am by the still waters
"He revives my soul" He
guides me in the path of righteousness for his name
"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death" I am
not afraid of evil
"for you are with me
" "Your rod, Your rods comfort me
"You prepared a feast for me in the presence of my enemies
" You anointed my head with oil, and my cup overflowed
"Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
" and I will Live in the house of the LORD, forever.”

Without a doubt, that silent dawn is the most moving part of the film “War Horse.” The whole film has already been told in 1918, which happens to be in “All Quiet on the Western Front.” The year when the German soldier Paul was hit and fell forward trying to catch a butterfly. That year Germany and Russia signed a truce and the Allies began their final offensive. Countless workers, students and sons of landlords died indiscriminately on the battlefield. And here the horse named "Joy" galloped the line of fire with undead, and then the British soldier Colin and the German soldier Pete came from different countries' hostile camps on both ends of the battlefield, through the broken bunkers and water craters, In order to save this big guy, the whole audience laughed when the German soldier turned back and said, "We need more scissors", and immediately flew five or six from behind the trenches and fell into the puddle.

Only when I saw this did I realize that this was the idiom of the goddamn healing system. Compared with the beautiful scenery and the scratchy war descriptions in the previous paragraphs, and compared with the repeatedly emphasized "war takes everyone's everything", hope is what this film really expresses. The common warmth of human beings in times of desperation is reflected in the two soldiers, who talk about their spare time in the trenches, and the pretty girls, who flip a coin when deciding which side to take the rescued horse to. Name each other and bless each other before leaving, as if we can really see the British soldiers one day leisurely holding up the German scissors gifted by a handsome friend from Düsseldorf in their rural life in the southern countryside, as if we Can really believe that after the war goes out their lives will return to the way they were, as if the war never happened.

It is also an anti-war theme with the background of World War I. While watching the film, scenes from "All Quiet on the Western Front" appeared in my mind from time to time. I have always imagined the scene of 19-year-old Paul swimming in a dark river. Although it cannot be compared, However, I heard that the original work of "War Horse" is a children's book, which can allow a horse to establish emotional bonds with so many people, and return to his hometown with the original owner under the beautiful sunset at a high latitude, and use incredible stories to watch all kinds of movies. One dose of the same cure for a person is enough.
