The first film review for "Jane Eyre"

As the title says, I have never written a film review, and I actually don't know how to write it. I just express my thoughts and feelings at this time.
After reading the original book yesterday, I immediately had the urge to watch a movie. Yesterday I watched the 2011 version of Jane Eyre, and today I watched 1996 and 2006.
Now I want to talk about the 2006 that I just watched. It's my favorite of the three. This may be the reason for the longest time, so there is no feeling of running accounts in the first two. I have seen a lot of details in this one, which makes me think this is a story with flesh and blood. Regarding the display of the protagonist's love, the 2011 version has a kind of inexplicable feeling, and the 1996 version is slightly better, which may be the reason for the lack of time.
This one makes me feel warm. It could be a smile, it could be a shy look, it could be a careless gesture. The two previous ones left me with a dark feeling. I still think words like warm and beautiful are suitable for Jane and Jane Eyre's book.
I have to say that the heroine is not beautiful, but I can see that she is trying her best. It's a pity that I didn't see Jane's inner world. Judging from the heroine's clothes, we can see her simplicity and simplicity, especially when compared with Miss Yinghe, but I can't understand the independent, complete and energetic female image of Jane in the original work.
Jane is indeed not beautiful, but she is very beautiful, a kind of personality charm different from ordinary women. It's like the male protagonist says she's a wizard and doesn't feel attracted to her. But it seems that there is no one else who is attracted except the male protagonist.
Compared to the heroine, it is the male protagonist that really impresses me. Big Love. The traces of the years did not erase the charm that he exudes. In his eyes, he saw the despair of his previous life, the admiration for Jane, and the surprise and joy of reuniting with Jane again. Especially the scene where I cried at the end moved me.
I've always felt that Jane's presentation at school was too simplistic, especially for her best friend Helen. Mr. Rochester was the first person to recognize her, which was very important to Jane, while Helen was the first person to have a profound influence on her, so it was also not easy.
To me, it is quite fascinating about Jane's growth process, how she went from a little girl full of resentment to the independent woman with rich thinking and personality, I think this is not something that can be achieved by strict discipline in school. , which is why I think Helen has a profound influence on her. Although the original work is not written in detail, I always feel that this is not only a romantic drama that transcends the mundane, but also an inspirational drama that establishes correct values and love for women.
Of course, no matter how good the actors and screenwriters are, they can never be better than the original. I wasn't too disappointed with this drama, but it made me decide to watch the original again.
that's it.

Not beautiful but elegant and confident Jane + personable Mr Rochester! I want to re-read the English version!

Jane Eyre quotes

  • Edward Fairfax Rochester: So this St. John person you've been mentioning so often. What of him?

Jane Eyre: Well, he's tall. He has blue eyes and a Grecian profile.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: He's handsome then, compared to me.

Jane Eyre: Oh, he's much more handsome than you. And he's a far better Christian of course than you ever were.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Well I thanked God last night for your sudden reappearance. The other night I cried out to Him in my despair. Called your name too. What about his brain this Rivers fellow? Find yourself getting bored when he speaks?

Jane Eyre: He doesn't say very much, but what he says is to the point. His brain is first rate.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Did he study much? Taught you things?

Jane Eyre: Oh yes, he taught me languages.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: [frustrated] All right, why did he do that?

Jane Eyre: He wanted me to go with him to Africa.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: He wanted you to marry him?

Jane Eyre: He asked me to marry him.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: You're lying. You made this up to torment me.

Jane Eyre: He asked me more than once.

Edward Fairfax Rochester: Well I think you might take yourself off and go elsewhere! And why are you still here? You've done your duty. You've assured yourself that I am still living, still living a tenth of a life! You, heiress!

  • Edward Fairfax Rochester: Jane, I want a wife. I want a wife, not a nursemaid to look after me. I want a wife to share my bed every night. All day if we wish. If I can't have that, I'd rather die. We're not the platonic sort, Jane.

Jane Eyre: [Take his face in her hands as she faces him] Can you see me?

    [Rochester nods yes]

Jane Eyre: Then hear this Edward. Your life is not yours to give up. It is mine. All mine. And I forbid it.

[Begin kissing, camera pans out, music swells]
