I don't have a book at hand, and I only read the original book once in high school, so I can't remember the details. When I first watched the TV series, I was impressed by its delicacy. Although it was intermittent, I just wanted to watch it in one breath every time.
Elinor's mature and steady contrast with Marian's liveliness and lightness, without losing the brightness of a girl. The profile of Marian's actors is very beautiful, and there is that kind of marian youth. And the house by the sea, I think if I stand on the edge of the stone and face such a beautiful scenery, I will definitely not care about the hair that is blown by the wind.
Although I also think that the description of marian and Willoughby is too much, the tender eyes of marian holding the colonel's hand on the hospital bed and the laughter of getting along with the sound of the piano still make me feel more than the movie version.
There are also edward and elinor. Maybe I had too much expectations for the movie version. I kept thinking of the scenes in the TV series after watching it. I especially liked when edward came to elinor in London, stepped in from the door and shook elinor's hand eagerly, saying "miss dashwood" Instantly becomes elinor. Such an outpouring of emotion was the only one before the finale, and how could I not love such beautiful ingenious details.
The more I watched it, the more I fell in love with this version. In the last episode, Elinor expressed the pain and perseverance of his feelings to Marian, which almost made me cry.
Watching a movie now always feels a little uncomfortable, sometimes because of its own reasons and sometimes because of the plot. Can't settle down. Watching this version of S&S is a complete peace of mind.
