The film was privately financed, and the budget was limited, and it was all invested in the film itself, so the marketing was not good enough, and the box office was chilling.
Among them, it is worth mentioning that the costume design of the film is by Eiko Ishioka, a Japanese prop master. She has designed "Dracula" (aka "Four Hundred Years" Keanu Reeves), "The Golden Armor in the City" and other influential film costumes.
Personally think that the most exciting design is the design of the little girl Alexander in the film. The shoulders that cannot be put down are wrapped in white plaster bandages, like a small wing, and Alexander's position in the film is the angel who saves the hero's soul. The high-profile and gorgeous design can be done by anyone with a little design foundation, and the finishing touch in such details can reflect the ingenuity of the master.
Speaking of the little girl Alexander, I have to say that this role was successfully created. The Romanian little girl Kaitinka Antaru's natural performance in the whole film, and the authenticity of the details makes people have to doubt that this girl is the queen Attachment. This was most vividly reflected when she was playing the game of pinching her toes. The panic and inconsistency she showed when she was questioned by Roy, even an adult actor might not be able to act so real.
Finally, point out a superfluous stroke in the film - Roy's first story to Alexander. This story is more or less disconnected from the entire film, both in terms of plot and style, and it is completely unnecessary.
