The protagonist is a 13-year-old boy named TJ, who unfortunately lost his mother and was forced to live with his grandmother without his drug-addicting father (Rainn Wilson). A guy with a chaotic life from the past shows up, he's Heather (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who's likely to be both TJ's life mentor and TJ's troublemaker), causing TJ to fall into in an unprecedented predicament. Grocery store clerk Nicole (Natalie Portman) protects TJ at the most critical moment, and then she becomes TJ's "daydream"...
