The second commandment shall not make idols for yourself, nor make any image like the things that are in heaven, and in the earth, and under the earth and in the water. Do not bow down to those images, and do not serve them, for I, the LORD your God, are jealous God. I will punish those who hate me, from fathers to sons, to the third and fourth generations; and to those who love me and keep my commandments, I will show mercy to a thousand generations.
The third commandment shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him innocent who takes the name of the LORD in vain.
Fourth Commandment: Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On this day you shall do no work, neither your sons and daughters, your servants, your servants, your livestock, nor your strangers in your cities; for in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them; It rests in seven days, so the LORD blessed the Sabbath and made it holy.
Fifth Commandment Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
The sixth commandment is not to kill.
The seventh commandment is not to commit adultery.
The eighth commandment is not to steal.
The ninth commandment is not to bear false witness against others.
The tenth commandment is not to covet a man's house, nor to covet his wife, his servants, his ox and his donkey, and all that he has.
According to the "Bible", it was written by God himself on the stone tablet with his finger and then placed in the ark of the covenant. It was the rule of life for the Jews, and it was also the original law. After Moses got the Ten Commandments for the first time, when he returned to the tribe of Israel, he saw that the Israelites were worshiping a golden calf, which symbolized Jehovah, and smashed the stone tablet written by God in anger. Therefore, what was placed in the tabernacle or the ark of the holy of holies in the temple was the second finished stone slab.
The Ark of the Covenant, which contained the stone slabs, was kept in the Temple of Jerusalem until the Roman army captured and burned Jerusalem in the 1st century AD, and the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies in the Temple also disappeared.
The Ark of the Law, also known as the Ark of the Covenant.
The Bible records that only priests can approach the Ark of the Covenant, and ordinary people cannot approach the Ark of the Covenant because of sin. If they do, they will die immediately. But the whereabouts of the Ark of the Covenant is still unknown until it disappeared, and whether it still exists has become a big mystery that attracts the world.
The lost ark is one of the greatest mysteries in biblical history. For believers, the Ark of the Covenant contains the "Ten Commandments" written by God himself, which hides the ultimate link between God and mankind. The "Bible" also records its great power in many places: such as leveling mountains, destroying armies, exterminating cities and so on. However, one day 3,000 years ago, the Ark of the Covenant mysteriously disappeared from Solomon's Temple, which has since become the greatest suspense in the history of archaeology. According to the Jewish historian Josephus in the first century AD, the Ark of the Covenant was destroyed along with the Temple when the Roman Empire destroyed Jerusalem. However, there are also legends that the Ark of the Covenant was smuggled out of Jerusalem, where it is said to be now stored in Ethiopia.
The Discovery Channel once sent a crew to Ethiopia to track down the missing Ark, but local priests have been reluctant to let the crew watch it. Therefore, whether the Ark of the Covenant still exists remains a mystery to this day. According to legend, during the Second World War, the German army believed that the Ark of the Covenant was a magical weapon that could rival thousands of troops, so they searched everywhere, hoping to use its magical power to control the battle situation.
