I think of Shakespeare's words at the beginning of the film: Life is full of noise and restlessness, but in the end, it has no meaning. When I first watched it, I couldn't understand why the director gave such a monologue at the beginning of the film. By the end of the film, everything was clear. The director was telling us that life is so dull, boring, and simple. Tall and dark stranger - Death. And how Helena, who finally got happiness, broke this curse, perhaps relying on the fantasy that the "shameless, cunning big liar" Christo has been instilling. Of course, the beautiful fantasy makes Helena always feel that life is a Hopeful, as she met Jonathan and ended up together. I think this is what the director wants to tell us in this ending, as long as life is full of hope, even if this hope is based on unrealistic fantasy, a new life is still not far away.
"How do we get through this life when life is so erratic and painful? Well, as Sally said to Roy, sometimes fantasy works better than medicine."
