Why We Can't Make Schindler's List

After watching "The Thirteen Hairpins of Jinling" for 2 hours and 40 minutes, I tossed and turned in bed and still couldn't sleep. The only question that comes to mind is why we can't make Schindler's List.

Maybe the box office of this film will rise to the top of N billion, in fact, this is obvious; maybe the official media and the public have been full of praise, and the Oscar for the best foreign language film is also the target; maybe director Zhang Yimou will wrinkle him again With those philosophical brows, all doubts and rhetorical questions will be wiped out before his powerful aura and glorious resume—but even so, I am a humble and nameless person who has no right to speak, and who knows nothing about the broad and profound film art. , I still want to ask why we can't make "Schindler's List".

As a viewer who paid 30 yuan for a ticket, I am very disappointed with this film.

Because all I see is -

a man who at first just to earn some makeup money walks into the dead zone alone, full of wine and sexual fantasies, suddenly conscience and humanity are awakened to become God, with just a few wrenches and rockers. After repairing the military truck, and then leading more than a dozen Chinese girls through the Japanese blockade, an American cowboy who escaped in victory;

an American cowboy who led the troops did not know whether they were retreating or resisting. Mirror's semi-automatic rifle and a few bunches of grenades can kill two Japanese tanks and a regiment, and their bravery, skill, and wit are comparable to Rambo's national army instructors;

a group can't get dressed from beginning to end, even in the cellar To bare shoulders, thighs or other parts, accustomed to telling pornographic jokes, the moral index and consciousness are suddenly outrageous, and suddenly moved by the dusty woman of China 2.0

; Fluent in London accent, known as the "Queen of England", Qinhuai River's top card that does not lose to Liang Hongyu's madness match Jinhua

; Her cheongsam wraps her curvaceous back, her hips to be exact;

I also don't believe—

In Nanjing in 1937, a church that could have been a shelter for life in a wartime occupied area and in the Asura field on earth would be so empty that only twenty women and two men fled here

; After the shooting of the girl, the Japanese army officer would bow dignifiedly and sincerely to apologize, and elegantly improvise a hometown children's song with the organ;

the death squad composed of five or six flesh-and-blood bodies in a straight line can really charge in front of the firepower of the tank machine gun. Last time, a semi-automatic rifle bullet hit a grenade, which would have the lethality of a mortar shell. A soldier would risk his life to pick up a shoe in the hail of bullets

. It seems to be coming out soon. When running to the cellar where he can save his life, he still follows the steps of the Paris autumn clothing conference;

two women who have managed to escape from their lives will choose heavy weights for a few strings and a pair of earrings. Going back to hell, moreover, Gu Ying actually brought her on the spot with self-pity;

still these women, knowing that they were about to be humiliated or dying, would reminisce their childhood in a radiant and innocent manner the night before, and commented on each other with great interest. Each other's new hairstyles, and then together with a smile, a patchwork chorus "Qinhuai Scenery".

Believe it is actually very simple. However, I just don't believe it.

I think the survivors who really experienced the Nanjing catastrophe in 1937, the soldiers of the national army who really experienced the war of resistance against Japan, those tragic women who ran for their lives, and even Japanese soldiers should not believe it.

Because what they had faced was life and death, fire and bayonet, fear and trembling, a sea of corpses and blood and a hell on earth with no hope of survival. In the face of these, what the movie tells you is false.

There may be these things that the movie tries to express, survival, hope, love, bravery, kindness, sacrifice, maybe there will be.

But definitely not like this.

In fact, this film is adapted from a novel, without the slightest historical basis and factual support. If it wasn't because of Zhang Yimou's film, but the story was told first, how many people would believe it?

I'm not saying that a movie has to be real, or that every detail has to be real. But the problem is, this is a too heavy subject, it is so real that it is suffocating, it happened more than 70 years ago, the names of 300,000 undead are engraved on the monument, their relatives are still in the world, the city is still Wounds are not healed. If you're not ready to touch it, don't touch it. We let ourselves not forget the suffering, the national humiliation, and the lives that have passed. We can choose to use inspirational methods, remembrance methods, review methods, or even perseverance methods, but we cannot use fabricated methods. Way. To make up a story out of thin air and tell it to others is to make up ourselves and make up this history. When this kind of psychological resonance and national sentiment based on fictional facts can’t stand up to the scrutiny of logic and common sense and collapse, things will often go to the opposite side, and another extreme will appear. It turns out that everything is false, and we waste our feelings and tears. Then, what is true, and what should we believe.

Suppose this movie is shown to Japanese citizens, what effect will it have? They're not Oscar judges, do you really think they'll believe it? Then, will they feel more guilty because of this, or will they appear more righteous because of this? So Director Zhang, you can kidnap history and complete a "Hero" with flying Weiya and rolling leaves, and you can make a completely nonsensical "Three Guns Shooting the Table Surprise", it doesn't matter, but about this A piece of history should be taken seriously.

Now, I kind of see why we can't make Schindler's List.

Because there are no cowboys in "Schindler's List";

no Rambo;

no special effects;

no patriotic prostitutes;

no "girl hunting",

no fictional plot backbone;

no hatred of morality, hatred of Japan, hatred of X and other national emotions;

More importantly, there is no "main theme".
