It's neither an action movie nor a shootout

In fact, this is a movie with a very simple plot: Thomas Craven is a detective in the Boston Police Department. As a single father, he loves his 24-year-old daughter very much. Killed on the steps in front of your own house. Thomas believed that the killer's real target was himself, and he was stubborn and plunged into the case, but as the investigation deepened, he discovered that his daughter's murder actually had another hidden meaning behind the case was the corruption of the entire government system. If you just read the plot introduction, I have no doubt that this will be a bad movie in all likelihood, because the audience's tastes have become more and more selective, and such a cliché plot can no longer attract them. But after watching the whole film, Lao Mei's skillful performance, Lao Lei's threading, and the director's control over the rhythm of the whole movie will make you not feel like you wasted two hours of time after watching it. But the downside of this movie is that it wants to express too many things, but no matter what aspect it expresses a little bit thinly, and there is no end to it. Maybe its predecessor - that 1985 BBC six-hour mini-series - It will be more full. In general, the whole film is quite satisfactory, but it is worth you to calm down and experience it slowly. Is the edge of darkness dark or light? If it is light, I will use all my power to uncover the darkness; if it is darkness, then I will use darkness to destroy the darkness.
