Of course, the focus of the movie is not the plot, but the song and dance. In this sense, it is indeed a very successful movie, at least for me, a non-musical movie fan, its sets are gorgeous enough, and its songs are powerful enough for my ears and eyes to fully enjoy .
Speaking of the topic of stars, as a star-studded movie, director Rob Marshall gave every star a chance to give full play to his acting skills and charm. (And even Judi Dench and Nicole Kidman, who don't have much playing time).
You know, this is really not easy (please refer to the classic negative textbook "Inception").
