Ray Winkler (Woody Allen) is a dishwasher with a criminal record. His wife, French (Tracy Ullman), a beautician who specializes in manicures, is attentive and wants her husband to live a peaceful and secure life. When she unexpectedly learns that Ray is plotting a bank robbery, she tries her best to stop it and opposes it desperately. But Ray was determined, he was going to find three stupid companions to carry out his plan, and did everything possible to pull his wife in and let her take the lead in the cookie shop. Soon enough, a bank robbery of instant riches begins! But it seems that everything is not as they imagined...
