I think these harmonies are more important than the confident, impassioned words and solos. Everyone has their own voice characteristics, which symbolize the personality of different individuals. In harmony, people cannot act recklessly. If everyone only wants to highlight themselves, there will be only screams and dull noises.
But by listening to each other and integrating their own voices into the whole, the harmony has a beauty that a solo can't match.
Faith will always exist, no matter what form it takes, otherwise, how to check and balance people's eternal selfishness and greed, how to make different personalities prosper with each other, instead of blindly competing against each other until they are destroyed together.
The old common belief, if it comes from reverence and admiration for God, is based on extreme suppression of individual desires.
That new common belief comes from a common ground based on some basic common ground for living in this common land. Kind of like the harmony in the movie.
